Women Space, women activist organization aiming to empower women from marginalized social groups and contributing to changing our society in terms of creating social justice and full equality announces an open call for participation at the fifth Feminist Summer School to be held from July 23rd to 28th 2013 at Divčibare.

This school attempts to develop feminist consciousness and critical opinion with young women and students through analyzing and discussing current social and political problems from different angles. Special attention will be paid again to the position from marginalized social groups.

Topics we will discuss relate to the social construction of gender, influence of globalization and neoliberal capitalism on women, feminist perspective in women health protection, empowering and connecting young women and women self-organizing, promotion of antifascist values and human liberties. Workshop facilitators and lecturers are activists from women movement in Serbia with great experience in knowledge transfer and working with women.

Application deadline is June 21st 2013.

All applications will be taken into consideration and selected candidates will be notified not later than July 1st. Selection will be made in all efforts to include geographical and individual diversity of candidates. Travel expenses and full board are covered by the organizers.
