At Women Sace initiative activists and volunteers of the civil society organizations – members of the Antifascist Collective of Niš marked the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO) on May 17th.
Women Space, with support of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, this year organizes another Antifascist Studies course in Niš. The course will comprise of a series of lectures, presentations, workshops and film projections followed by discussions – all aiming to cherish and promote antifascist history and values.
In the eve of the International Women Day, Roma Women Network activists opened fourth in a row campaign Month of Roma Women Activism with an event entitled Coffee with Roma Women Network. This year Campaign celebratory kick off happened in the Belgrade's central Progres Gallery on March 7th with Roma activists recount of difficult Roma women position in Serbia but also, in accordance with this year campaign theme All That I Am, talked about their different identities and showed the multitude of their possibilities.
Campaign Month of Roma Women Activism will be organized between March 8th and April 8th. Just before the international Women Day, on March 7th, we will start this year campaign on a social event with activists from Roma Women Network, journalists and friends where we show the richness of our identities and diversity through telling our personal stories and thus illustrating this year campaign theme – All That I Am.
The open call for a graphic design of the “Month of Roma Women Activism” campaign 2013 is now closed. Several dozens solutions were sent in and out of these fifteen were selected by the commission made up from Women Space team and design associates. They thoroughly examined the works and selected three most appropriate to the given topic.
