Lecture Crisis and Fascism – Ideologies and Characteristics will be held at 17h on December 7h 2012 in Student's Cultural Center within the pilot course of Anti-fascist Studies organized by Women's Space.
Why is fascism (Nazism) ideology of the crisis? Why is that belief of only unquestioned authority demanding unquestioned obedience (authoritarian culture) can offer salvation from the crisis? Why, within authoritarian culture, the cause can never be “Us” (as “victims” of crisis), but eventually “the Other” (as “causality” of crisis)?
Lecture “Fascism and Historical Revisionism in Serbia Today”, within the pilot Anti-fascist Studies course, will be held at 6h on November16th 2012 in Student's Cultural Center. Historian and professor of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy Olivera Milosavljević will talk about this phenomenon of historical revisionism in Serbia that is in its whole directed to “revising” the World War II.
On the event of commemorating the International Day against Fascism and within the pilot course of Antifascist Studies, the projection of documentary “The Wrong Word – Compensation for Roma and Sinti in Germany” (1987, 85 min, German/with Serbian subtitles) in Niš Cultural Centre on November 9th at 18h.
Niš Antifascist Collective: Human Rights Board, Centre for Local Democracy – LDA, Civil Resource Centre, Center for Girls and Women’s Space organize a week of Antifascist action that will last from November 9th through November 16th thus marking the International Day against fascism.
Niš feminist organizations’ activists have been diligent in setting up another FemiNiš - Festival of women’s activism and art. This year festival events will be held in several city locations between September 20th and 25th. For Niš visitors and guests from the south Serbia and the region, we did our best to offer a full and current program that will present novelties from an ever active feminist scene. Moreover, we want to show a rich feminist theory and valuable women activism in this region.
